About Me

I am an experienced counsellor with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I have completed several years training in counselling, and so am able to work with many type of difficulties people come to counselling with.

I use an integrative counselling approach, which means I have been trained in a variety of counselling theories and techniques, and am able to be flexible in the techniques I use to suit the needs of the individual.  Working with an integrative model of counselling, I am able to listen to your individual story and be flexible as to how we can work with the issues you bring.  My Integrative training has included CBT, Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Gestalt approaches.

I am a member of the BACP Professional Body and adhere to their Code of Ethics.

How can I help?

I have worked with many people who have difficulties in their relationships. Maybe you want to find a way to relate to your partner better? Or perhaps you struggle with friendships or feeling lonely and would like to change this? Relating to people can be difficult for many people, for many reasons. By working with me, we can discuss how relationships are for you, and what you would like to be different. We can then work together to help you take steps to have better relationships.

I can also help with bereavement and mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Grief, loss, low mood and anxiety can all have a huge impact on us and our ability to maintain relationships with friends, family and partners. I have worked with many people' struggling with these experiences and would be happy to work with you to help you overcome these difficulties, or any difficulties you are having.

If you would like to find out more about whether I would be able to help you, please feel free to email me to ask. If you'd prefer, I am able to offer a ten minute telephone conversation for any queries or questions you have.
